Principal
Principal Ellis is an accomplished education professional with a dedicated career spanning over 15 years, marked by progressive leadership roles and a strong foundation in special education. She currently serves as the Elementary School Principal at Red Oak Elementary School, a position she has held since July 2021. In this role, she brings over four years of leadership to fostering a positive and effective learning environment.
Prior to her current principalship, Krysten was the Dean of Students at East Middle School in Shakopee. During her three years as Dean, she played a pivotal role in student support and school administration.
Krysten's commitment to education began as a Special Education Teacher. She served in this capacity at Bloomington Public Schools and previously at Eden Prairie Schools gaining nearly a decade of invaluable experience supporting diverse student needs.
Academically, Krysten holds a Principal K-12 license, earned through her studies in Educational Leadership with a focus on Elementary and Middle School Administration/Principalship at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She also holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Special Education and Teaching from the University of Minnesota, solidifying her expertise in inclusive education practices.
